Member Services
AMAC encourages institutions to become members as a consortium of members provides access to a wider range of services
and support at a lower cost.
Advantages of AMAC membership include:
- High quality and timely production services at lower costs. AMAC has invested in high quality
equipment and staff that can produce alternative format materials quickly and cost-effectively.
- Faster access. By reusing previously produced materials in the AMAC repository, the wheel is
not reinvented and members save time and money.
- Participation in the AMAC assistive technology cooperative. By purchasing in bulk, AMAC is
able to lower assistive technology hardware and software costs and distribute equipment where needed.
- Cost savings on Braille services. By using in-house Nemeth-certified Braille transcribers,
AMAC has significantly lowered Braille production costs.
- Training. AMAC provides annual alternative media and assistive technology trainings to members
for free or reduced cost.
- NEON. Member institutions can manage students and orders and generate reports without purchasing
or maintaining their own information system. NEON does it all for you.
Annual membership dues are calculated based on the type of institution. For more information on membership cost and
terms, please call AMAC at (706) 369-5830.
